BUPA

What you need to know:

  • WGH accept self referrals, but BUPA may require a GP referral prior to attending. You will need to contact BUPA regarding this.
  • WGH will require a pre-authorisation number at time of booking. It is your responsibility to contact BUPA and gain the pre-authorisation number for each appointment. If you fail to gain the pre-authorisation number you will be liable for the cost of the appointment and treatment.
  • WGH will invoice BUPA for each appointment on your and the podiatrists behalf. BUPA will inform WGH if there is any excess on your policy, you will be liable to pay WGH direct any excess due. BUPA will also send this information to you once the claim has been reviewed and WGH will contact you regarding payment.
  • BUPA have agreed fees with the individual podiatrist and not the company, Warley Grange Health.
  • If BUPA fail to cover your appointment fees, WGH will send you an invoice to be paid within 14 days.
  • In order to be treated within WGH, patients must be aware of the following additional company fees:
  • Medical devices such as orthotics, dressings and medication are not covered by BUPA
  • SWIFT verruca treatment is not covered by BUPA
  • Shockwave therapy is not covered by BUPA

    • Initial consultation – AA145
    • Follow up consultation – AA641
    • Musculoskeletal (MSK) Analysis (also known as biomechanical assessment)- AA365
    • Nail surgery (also known as avulsion or wedge excision of nail) – AA628 + 2x follow up consultations AA641

WPA

What you need to know:

  • WGH accept self referrals, but WPA may require a GP referral prior to attending. You will need to contact WPA regarding this
  • WGH will require your customer number and a claim reference at time of booking. It is your responsibility to contact WPA and gain the claim reference for each appointment. If you fail to gain the claim reference you will be liable for the cost of the appointment and treatment.
  • WGH will invoice WPA for each appointment on your and the podiatrists behalf. WPA will inform WGH if there is any excess on your policy, you will be liable to pay WGH direct any excess due.
  • If WPA fail to cover your appointment fees, WGH will send you an invoice to be paid within 14 days.
  • WPA do not cover dressings, medication or orthotics. Self-pay fees will apply for these items.
